Yes, we're investing!

The Piedmont Angel Network (“PAN”) is aggressively bucking the current funding environment. The fund, during Q1'09, invested over $1 million in three early stage ventures including Extend Energy, a solar energy integrator founded by Travis Simpson, a seasoned entrepreneur with ties to the group, Raw Essentials, a skincare products company founded by Carol Alt, and Protochips, manufacturers of holey carbon films for cryo-transmission electron microscopy and developers of the Aduro, a revolutionary MEMS-based heating stage for high-resolution electron microscopy. So far in Q2'09, the fund has invested an additional $1 million plus in two new portfolio companies, Belief Networks and Pique Therapeutics. The fund also made a dry powder investment in Effectur. If you have a deal you are interested in sharing with PAN, we're actively pursuing new opportunities. Today is a great time to support early-stage growth companies and our funds, with over 150 members, can help you navigate through these tough economic times.
